The United States of America is currently at a time when racism, prejudices, and bias continue to run rampant, increasing the divides among its people, communities, and society. Chaos is impacting peace and hatred seems to be engulfing parts of the nation. We are also seeing movements like, “Black Lives Matter” and “Me Too” continuing to grow and organize along with protests increasing in size to combat these inequities. Yet as Adoptees we are watching all of this unfold, wondering where we fit and how we can make a difference within our communities.
This discussion will start to explore different avenues where we can and ultimately make a difference when it comes to our own values and beliefs. As adoptees and supporting one another, we can use our strengths to make a difference in this world of uncertainty.
