Family Volunteer Day

  • 11/19/2016
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • IUEC Local 4 in Dorchester, MA

Registration is closed

Come join BKA and help make a difference with families from all over Boston! On Saturday, November 19, 2016, volunteers of all ages and their families and friends will gather at the IUEC Local 4 in Dorchester to participate in the nation-wide Family Volunteer Day, a signature Points of Light day of service, powered by genterationOn.

The event starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 12:00 p.m., so try to get there around 9:50 a.m. We will likely grab lunch together afterward, so we hope you can join us.

We will work together to create STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) kits for students in Boston Public Schools, including make-your-own robot kits and basic engineering kits.

This event is KID FRIENDLY (5+). However, we will need to get some permission forms signed prior to the event. Please let us know ASAP if you want to register someone under 18.

BKA will be signing up as a team, so please let us know by TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8 at 11:00 p.m. if you want to join us.

Note: you may still register on your own directly (pending open spots) before the event if you miss the BKA cutoff.

Family Volunteer Day is powered by generationOn and sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.  Event space has been generously donated by our friends at the New England Carpenters Training Fund.
