In honor of KADtalk's 2-year Anniversary, we're inviting the BKA community, our friends and family to celebrate with us. Please join us on Saturday, September 12th at 7pm at Make Shift Boston in the South End for a fun-filled evening where KADtalk members will talk about what we do and what we’ve accomplished over the past two years. Two years is a lot of reading, watching, and talking about Korean adoptee, Korean-American and transracial adoption literature and films. Come celebrate with us!
We're honored and delighted to have special guest, Korean adoptee writer, Matthew Salesses (http://matthewsalesses.com/) join us as he reads from his latest novel The Hundred Year Flood. As the first author we ever read as a group, he's pumped to help us celebrate! Make sure to order your advance copy of his book by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to request a copy. Additional copies will also be available for purchase at the event.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. BYOB or wine. Registration is free for members and $5/person for non-members.
Parking: Visitor Parking is free on Saturdays along Columbus Ave (on the same side of the street at MSB).
Transit: Orange Line - Mass Ave stop/Green Line - Symphony Hall or Prudential stop and 5 min walk.
About KADtalk ~ KADtalk is a sub-group of Boston Korean Adoptees that explores the Korean Adoptee (KAD) experience through transracial adoption literature and films. We meet bi-monthly in the Boston/Cambridge area to discuss literature and films by Korean adoptees and Korean-Americans. For more information please see: http://bkadoptee.org/KADtalk.
If you can’t make it to our celebration and/or are still interested in contributing to KADtalk and BKA please show your support here: http://www.bkadoptee.org/donate. Your contribution will go towards Korean adoptee programming as well as supporting a burgeoning Korean adoptee writer.
