We are living in a complex and difficult moment, rife with division and hatred. The atrocious event in Atlanta that led to the deaths of eight people, six of whom are from the Asian community, reminds us of this.

In response, BKA has signed a letter from APIs CAN (Asian Pacific Islanders Civic Action Network) to stand in solidarity. You can sign individually here.

APIs CAN is hosting a town hall on March 25, 2021, which will highlight “how the Asian American community in MA is organizing against racism and learning how to support our community during the pandemic.” To join in this event, sign up here.

We hope that you provide yourself grace in processing what has occurred.

BKA is participating in the ATASK 5K and we need your support!

You can sign up below to join the BKA team and run/walk and help raise funds for BKA and other organizations that support the Asian community in the greater Boston area.

Or, if running is not your thing, you can contribute to BKA's fundraising goal! Fundraising is critical for BKA to continue bringing you awesome evens like cooking classes, discussion groups, etc.

    Hope to see you there!

Great to catch up with everyone at the two events last week!

The cooking class was super fun and full of great food. Thanks to everyone (hopefully we can do another cooking class next year.)

Also, a big thanks to those who showed their support (and their bowling prowess) at Jillian's last Thursday. We couldn't do what we do without the support of the community, whether its through your participating in our community, providing feedback, offering financial support, attending events, engaging in dialogues and the myriad other ways that you show up to the Boston/Massachusetts adoptee community.

4 days until "Re: Home" at BAAFF! Free/pay what you want at the door, but if you know you're going, our advice is to pre-register via the BAAFF website (their screenings tend to sell out).

A BKA member is organizing a dinner with Glenn and Julia Morey, directors of "Side By Side: Out of a Korean Orphanage" the Sunday night before at Seoul Soulongtang (Allston) at 6pm.

Also... BAAFF started yesterday! The film we're co-presenting is one of many films in the lineup this yea

The December 2nd Korean cooking class is sold out! We have opened up a wait list - sign up through the event on the event page. If we have any cancellations, we will start moving people off the wait list in the order they signed up (regardless of membership status).
